  1. Tween/Teen Would you enroll your children in online public speaking classes to prepare for an event at their school?...(more) 10-29-2016 2:55pm (3 replies)
Would love to hear any and all thoughts. A public speaking coach is offering group lessons online for 6 kids at a time for $18 per student per class. The kids would give a practice speech every week and critique each other, leading up to an event where they'll give a speech in front of about 100 parents and other students.

only to my dd but several others. According to my dd it sounds like the girl is trying to get in with the 'mean popular girls' in school. I'm pretty sure the mom is aware of it (according to others) but I don't talk to her as much as I used to. Unfortunately my younger dd is best friends with the younger sister of this girl and I have to say I really wish she wasn't. I've been pulling back my friendship from this mom for a while now and wish my younger one would do the same. I just feel that if this mom is allowing her older dd to act this way (and encouraging it) I'm afraid if she starts encouraging her younger one to be the same, it's only going to hurt my younger dd. The older girls are in 6th and the younger ones are in 4th. WWYD?
