  22. Tween/Teen Is it just me or was the doctor way too invasive?...(more) 6-1-2016 5:20pm (8 replies)
I took my son for his camp physical today at the local walk-in clinic and I think the doctor examined way more than is necessary. At the start, she asked DS "For boys, one part of the physical is the private parts, is that okay with you?". He said yes and I said yes, assuming it would just be "turn your head and cough". Once she got to "that part" of the physical, she asked him to drop his pants and underwear down to his ankles. She put on gloves then in addition to asking him to cough, she felt each testicle and spent a good 10 seconds trying to get his foreskin to pull back. Is all that necessary? Like is it just me or is that pretty invasive for just a regular physical?
