Ok, I know nothing about this, but: diff kinds of lawyers make really diff annual salaries. Can you give me some examples, from all over the spectrum?

Then they have to cut back and people lose their jobs, its a neverending ridiculous cycle

- Government lawyers generally make less than those in private practice. Big firm lawyers tend to make more than smaller firm. A white-collar defense lawyer may be able to charge more because a corporation is paying. An elder law person will have to charge less because the client will be an individual with less money.
