their dad being childhood friends with the President of the uninversity but both kids graduate with the same GPA, how is that fraud? Do you not try to take every opportunity offered to you in life, call people you know, ask for job leads, ask for them to recommend you, etc. yourself? I would think most people do this; some are just more fortunate that by luck or by affluence they know the right people

famous people. I work at an Ivy and very few families donate millions so it is not a large group, not nearly as large as athletes who are good but not top students. I am guessing these Duke students you know are capable of doing the work but are not top of the class (i.e. they are B students not A students).
