Recommendations for ASD 4yo DS outside of school?...
Any suggestions for after school activities in the UWS for this summer? He is ASD with speech delay. My DS goes to a center based school 5 days a week from 8-3pm. He's moving from a class of 8 to class of 12 in the fall. He's been doing great and shown tremendous improvement but I would like to involve him in classes or activities with NT children. He does not interact or play with other children as much.

nice because it requires minimal social interaction but is a foot in the door. Individual sports -- gymnastics, martial arts for ex -- can also go well. Team sports are still a trainwreck for us -- DC cannot process quickly enough what is going on between the game and the other kids and the calling out.
