- I teach 7th grade and did this. They almost ALL complained about it. The whining was terrible. They wanted it either quiet, or to listen to their own music on headphones. 9-3-2013 9:06pm

- OR - this is why I gave in and let them listen to headphones if they wanted to. Some kids, it really helps them focus. Some need quiet. 9-3-2013 9:10pm
