bath / office and connect it to the master (to make a master suite on one side of the house) so then it would be 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths on that floor? We also have an attic bedroom with a half-bath. We want a master bath, but people have said it is crazy to lose a bedroom (for resale purposes). WDYT?

done...perhaps make the other bedroooms smaller and be able to still retain 3 extra bedrooms. But if you have one upstairs with a bath, I think that's good. UNLESS, that's supposed to be the master with the bath...
OP: It's a 1920s house - fairly typical 4-square (you come up a center stair to a little foyer and 4 bedrooms of equal size in each corner with a full bath opposite the stairs)....(more)4-3-2013 9:24am
The attic is not supposed to be the master, it was added fairly recently and is a nice space but sloped ceilings and only a half-bath. Makes a perfect guest room or teenager room though.
