FUCK-- sold our house and bid on our dream house. Our buyers are making settlement on 11/30 and the inspection on the house we would like to buy just came back VERY bad... needs...

lots of work. Seller said she would pay to have it all done BUT we need to have all kinds of engineers come out and write up reports, estimates, present them to the seller... this is going to take forever even IF we decide to buy that house! NO way we will be in by 11/30... guess I will have to find a short term rental, which could be difficult around here. Most ppl want you to sign a 1 yr lease.

- That house sounds like bad news. Are these things that come from the house not being built/ renovated properly? This could just be a sign of things to come. 10-31-2011 10:55am

- with this amt of work I would not trust seller to have it done properly, I'd get price reduced & have work done myself. 10-31-2011 10:59am
- This is goood advice. 10-31-2011 10:59am
- OP: Yes, this is what we would do. Get the money taken off the price. 10-31-2011 11:00am
- i would never buy that house. it is a teardown 10-31-2011 10:59am
- ditto 10-31-2011 11:00am
- OP: It is not a teardown. It needs work on the foundation and anything can be done w/ $$$. As long as the seller is willing to pay, it could end up as good as new in the end....(more) 10-31-2011 11:01am
