Maple syrup spilled over onto shelf in refrigerator. It is very sticky and semi-hard. How do I get it off?

put some gloves on. heat up water in microwave...use a dish cloth. dip dish cloth in hot water and lay dish cloth on the spill 11-26-2010 8:28pm
