OK, I'm not trying to get flamed, but I honestly don't understand some SAHMs' attitudes about doing housework - i.e. "I stay at home to watch the kids, not to be the maid!" I... (more)
if I stayed at home (or my husband did), part of that job would be taking care of the home as well - cleaning, cooking, etc. When whoever was working got home, of course they'd help clean up the kitchen or cook, but the one who stayed at home would do most of the home-care and cleaning. For god's sake - you don't need to be actively engaging your children 24 hours a day! I think it's actually good for them to see you clean and cook ( and maybe help you), lest they think these things happen by magic.
