someone said there is true diversity in queens, but as an aa i found that i was often out of place, there does not seem to be an upper middles class population of blacks in queens, so...
in some of the nicer neighborhood people treated me like i ddi not belong there. queens is diverse at certain socioeconomic level, but upper middle class black have ready population of peers in maplewood that does not exist in queens, at least from what i have experienced

I agree. I lived in Queens most of my life and really, the only upper middle class neighnborhoods are italian and jewish. There are for sure middle class black neighborhoods but not...(more)11-30-2009 12:43pm
