I have decided to stay at home with the kids, I gave my notice 2 wks ago. This is my last full wk here at work. I had to take yesterday off of work because I was sick... OMG I forgot... (more)
how hard it is to stay home! (I will not and do not have help) It is a lot of work and I give A LOT of credit to SAHM's who do it without help. It is a full time job! My cleaning, cooking, playing with kids, etc...was much more work than my 11 hr days in the office.

- Hey your situation is different. I don't think we disagree that if you can afford it it is best for children to be with a parent f/t if possible 8-5-2009 10:32am
- I'm not. However I was a single mom for a very long time and work is all I have known. I have missed out on SO much of dcs lives. I finally have an opportunity to see them grow up and...(more) 8-5-2009 10:32am

- as a former wohm, i have to say that a day at the office was a much easier day. even at it's worst, somehow i find staying at home harder. good luck, tho??!!! 8-5-2009 10:27am
- yep. at the end of the day, you are much more exhausted as a sahm. mentally, woh'ing is often (not always) harder. or at least you often have less control 8-5-2009 10:28am
- no shit it's a full-time job. signed, wohm 8-5-2009 10:27am
- doesn't sound like my 11 hour work days 8-5-2009 10:28am
- I find it hard to juggle everything as a WOHM, but I find SAHM tasks so tedious and unpleasant that I'll take being a WOHM, even though it's harder overall. 8-5-2009 10:28am
- depends on age of kids, ime 8-5-2009 10:29am
- totally! If they are under 5, forget about it, it is so difficult. After that it gets much easier 8-5-2009 10:32am
- hello -- you were SICK! of course it seemed overwhelming. you belonged on couch with cup of tea, not doing child & housework. it can be tedious and repetitive but you won't always feel...(more) 8-5-2009 10:34am
