clean up shoes and socks she has just left sitting around in the living room or at the table. there are always random pieces of clothing and books and garbage she leaves everywhere in common spaces. I have completely given up on her room but am so tired of nagging her.

control. My DD started cleaning up more when she got a boyfriend and didn't want to think she was a slob. I hope it gets better for you. gl

empty the duffel bags, and put away your clothes. I have some work storage and supplies in the closets in her room so I do need to be in there once in a while
