- shantilly lace is considered the purest BM white, i know the name is misleading, i chose simply white for all my doors and trims - just did this research 2-27-2021 2:04pm
- oops chantilly 2-27-2021 2:04pm
- op- thanks. i'll look it up. i find it overwhelming how many shades of white paint there are 2-27-2021 2:04pm +1 like
- ^so is there a slight contrast between Chantilly White for the walls and Simply White for the trim? the doors are a pale light birch wood...not sure if i will paint those 2-27-2021 2:05pm
- one suggestion that made the most sense to me is to choose the same white but to use a different sheen for the trim, so matte on the walls but satin or gloss on trim 2-27-2021 2:06pm +1 like

- ^do you think it will look odd to paint the window & door trim white but leave the birch doors? or should they be white too? 2-27-2021 2:07pm
- it is easy to paint them after right? so do the walls and trim and then you can decide 2-27-2021 2:08pm
- personally I would do white walls and a darker trim and leave the wood. 2-27-2021 2:08pm
- darker, like gray? 2-27-2021 2:10pm
- yes let me find some examples for you 2-27-2021 2:11pm

- ok you can see the trim in the windows on the left...(more) 2-27-2021 2:15pm
- wow, i like that. do you happen to know the name of the pale fawn color? 2-27-2021 2:18pm
- yes hold on. agreeable beige but let me double check. personally I think beige is an advanced color as in easy to get wrong unless you really know what you are doing 2-27-2021 2:19pm
- yeah, i hear you. but trim is relatively easy to repaint if it looks bad 2-27-2021 2:20pm
- I love it too 2-27-2021 2:22pm

- I think darker trim gives the room a depth that lighter trim doesnt. plus will look fantastic with your art on the walls. 2-27-2021 2:26pm +1 like

- op- so that is what i was wondering...they are pretty. but i have always had white doors 2-27-2021 2:08pm
- go back and paint it after if you dont like it. 2-27-2021 2:10pm
- yes... another question while i have you - the house has an open floor plan, so kitchen open to dining room & living room, which we love...the kitchen cabinets are darkish wood....(more) 2-27-2021 2:11pm not a fan. but wondering - if they are white, too much white? what if i painted those a pale gray?
- do one thing at a time, and then you can "see" how it would look better 2-27-2021 2:18pm

- I like BM Simply white. nice clean white but not cold 2-27-2021 2:05pm
- op- thanks. yes, definitely do not want cold. i am in a way afraid of white bc i worry it will look boring or undecorated but then i see these gorgeous white walls in magazines 2-27-2021 2:07pm
- i think you need lots of texture if you go white walls 2-27-2021 2:07pm
