The liberal justices would have given Newsom everything he wanted. The other 3 conservatives would have given the churches everything. But ACB Kav and Roberts went halfway. Moderation! Also in another case this Kavanaugh and Roberts joined the liberals in a 5-4. ACB is not that extreme and Kavanaugh is quite close to center.
