normally take in 9th grade. In non-covid times they would have regular 8th grade algebra and enriched algebra (regents) but have put all of the kids in one class - so they are basically accommodating the strong math kids while the weak fail and struggle. I am very upset about this. Dd is so frustrated, feels like a failure. She has a tutor twice a week but the material is moving too quickly. Any advice? This is public btw. Plus, they have to take the regents exam at the end of the year which she will undoubtedly fail.

- Its awful. Both my kids were not ready for algebra in 8th and took it in 9th. They shouldn't force 1-5-2021 7:02pm
