It's hard to get a feel for the schools with everything being virtual. Why do people call HM a pressure cooker and not the other TT schools? Surely they must all be to some extent? really know what the first choice would be until revisit day. After your kid gets accepted, you can go spend a day in school (pre-covid). If you actually sent a first choice letter, wouldn't that look strange to the school since your kid hadn't even spent time there yet?

to get his needs met. Less anxiety about academics (he WANTS to get As but also will work himself into a panic over it), small classes, nurturing... He likes the interesting idea of two days of regular academics, then Wednesday is a day of more reflection with philosophy, service etc. He likes the idea of a traditional high school experience and it seems like a version that will still fit his needs. I mean they all have their reputations with down sides though I think every HS school will have some kids that experiment with drugs, get involved in poor sexual choices. We are waiting to hear (he goes into 9th in Fall) FA is critical for us, so even with any acceptances, that is a powerful influence for our choice.
