https://www.goblogsandarticles.com A man was going to the house of some rich person. As he went along the road, he saw a box of good apples at the side of the road. He said, "I do not want to eat those apples; for the rich man will give me much food; he will give me very nice food to eat." Then he took the apples and threw them away into the dust. He went on and came to a river. The river had become very big; so he could not go over it. He waited for some time; then he said, "I cannot go to the rich man's house today, for I cannot get over the river." He began to go home. He had eaten no food that day. He began to want food. He came to the apples, and he was glad to take them out of the dust and eat them.

just found out my sons lottery number. he is in the LAST group. 100% of students will have priority over him in admissions. He has stellar grades (97%) at a top MS, he wont match with any schools and DOE will just place him in some subpar school wherever they decide. This is a total disaster. Moving is the only option. Im sick to my stomach, don't want to leave the city (been here since 2001), but what choice do I have? this new system will force lots of families like mine out of the city.

even the waitlist process seems unfair. It says each child is automatically on the waitlist for any program they listed higher then where they were accepted and that a new random number is then generated for your spot on the wait list. why wouldn't kids who didn't get into any of their 12 choices not get placed on top of the waitlist.

  25. NYC Schools Niche School Rankings -reliable?...(more) 2-24-2022 9:28pm (3 replies)
The Niche NYC Private High School Rankings, with Avenues highly ranked, and some other schools ranked pretty low -- how reliable are these? The curriculum at many of these schools looks good. Then what should take precedence -- the commute or the Niche Ranking? Any other rankings that are more reliable?
