given permission. Out of districts were never allowed, so no one could tuition in by paying and private school spots were so limited. The new district allows it, and many staff (teachers, admin) bring their kids from the city or far away parts of westchester. The nonresident rate is >30K $USD but staff doesn't have to pay. With budget cuts, is this something that can be voted on?

  22. NYC Schools Sleep Problems And Nighttime Feedings...(more) 5-18-2020 2:01am (0 replies)
Although your baby may give up regular nighttime feedings on his own by the time he’s three months old, do not expect or insist that such a young infant give them up altogether, all of a sudden. But if your child is at least three months old, still nurses or requires a bottle at bedtime, and needs to eat again several more times during the night, then the extra feedings may well be causing the extra wakings. If that is the case, you may be able to help him sleep better by decreasing the number of these feedings. Read More: https://bit.ly/2X3EPkk

  24. NYC Schools Private K vs 5s program...(more) 5-4-2020 11:25am (1 reply)
[ - ] My business might be in trouble. DD going to K downtown private in Sept, live in Brooklyn. I have two concerns: 1) money - $50K, school doesnt have financial aid left (I asked) 2) commuting from BK if school actually starts in Sept. I think I can get a spot at 5s program which is $22K, walking distance. No, I cant just do public - DD will be put in 1st grade and no, it's not going to be ok (medical issues). What would you do? Can I keep her in 5s program and then see what happens come fall and apply to schools for 1st grade?

  25. NYC Schools Silly question - if it’s so obvious to everyone that NY schools are closed for the rest of the year, why hasn’t there been an announcement yet? 4-30-2020 6:17pm (11 replies)
