          Santa real. I just think of it as a lesson in critical thinking and when my dd asks questions like how does Santa do this, or what have you I just ask her what she thinks and I like hearing her thoughts in trying to figure it out. I don't know if she really believes, when she was 7 she said she "had a theory that Santa and the Tooth Fairy are the same person" and this year she was comparing Santa to God (we're atheists). We tell her that some people believe in things like a God or ghosts and even if we don't believe in them we should respect other people's beliefs. Maybe she'll come to the conclusion that grandma believes in Santa rather than her lying to her, lol.

      basically said that Christmas is magical and if you stop believing some of the magic dies. It only remains if you believe. So fast forward 2 years and she still "believes." Logically she knows there really can't be a little old elf on a sleigh but it is nice to imagine.

    sports - competitive, captain, comminity srevice through our temple, works summers as a counselor. what schools to consider? i know he isnt ivy league material but would he have a shot at schools like bowdoin, swarthmore, amherst? it all seems sooo competitive. i am at a loss.
