I took it out an hour before cooking so it could rest. Then, my recipe calls for me to brown it in a grill ban with canola oil. Took about 10 minutes. Then I put this homemade dressing thing all over the top and sides. Stuck in a meat thermometer and cooked at 450 until it got to 130. We like it medium to medium rare. It was the bomb. My DW and I lost our college aged DS this last June. Thanksgiving was very hard and Christmas is coming. Has anyone else lost a child and can give us advice navigating the holidays. Currently the plan is to have a normal but low-key Christmas but give money to charities each day of the "12 Days of Christmas". Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Both generational ends. Everyone felt the pain, but no one talked about it. We all just went on and did everything the same, but with a missing person. Perhaps that is why I appreciated what my neighbors did. It seemed less painful to me than my experience. Maybe the real difference is the therapy, not whether you honor the traditions or make new ones. Be well.

my salvation. They served two purposes - 1)a means of escape from the difficulties around me 2)an early understanding that there are many different kinds of suffering, many different ways to live a life, and power in the choices we make. It was profoundly therapeutic. If your niece seems to be struggling at all, put a few books in her hand. It can't hurt, and it just might help.

I still canít believe this is it. You helped me find my passion and I will always look back on those early conversations where we marveled together at how amazing the world is, how cool science is, and how much we love chemistry and biochemistry. The last time I saw you, I was walking out of the IChem final. I turned around right before I left and saw a sea of heads, with everyone hunched over their desks still scribbling. Except for you. You were sitting straight up, with a giant grin on your face, and you gave me a huge wave, right in the middle of the final. Because that was just the kind of person you were. I canít seem to find the words right now to say everything Iím feeling, and I wish so badly that I could have seen you, hugged you, and told you just how much you mean to me one last time. I hope somehow you'll see this, and know how much I love you. You are a part of me, and I will carry you with me wherever I go. I miss you badly. Love always, Austin. May you rest

  20. Tween/Teen Personality disorder?...(more) 11-11-2013 6:22am (1 reply)
What do you do when your dd's best friend suddenly turns mean? Worse, it seems to be coming from mum, not the kid. My dd has been accused of molesting her former bff and bullying her. The allegations were devastating. Naturally it has all been investigated and the allegations have proved false. Still...what kind of woman encourages her child to make those sorts of things up?? These are 11 years old girls. I am pretty pissed off.

  22. Tween/Teen Son wet himself...(more) 11-7-2013 11:04am (16 replies)
My son and i went with my friend who has a daughter the same age as my son 13 to the movies it was a 30 min drive so i said to him go to the toilet now because we wont stop in the car, he said im fine so we started driving for 5 min when he said i have to pee and i told him to hold it however he didnt and wet himself sarah my friends daughter found this very funny and i dont blame her for laughing at him. So i made him take his shorts and underwear off we had no spare clothes so i made him sit naked, sarah couldnt stop staring and making fun of his tiny penis which was cute and to punish him i told sarah when we stop go buy him some underwear from the supermarket of your choice. she came back with pink high cut briefs which fit him very well by looking down there you couldn't see that he had male genitals. and he went to the movies with the tshirt and underwear on he was so embarrassed but i told him it was your own fault. should I have punished him more?
