HOWEVER I would not have been able to follow the talks had the coursework not been hardcore and filled with memorizing molecular pathways, the intricate details of techniques (which were generally obsolete before the ink dried on the paper), etc. My point is that the test is not an ends but a means. Get superfuckinggood at mathematical problem solving and close reading of text (details, evidence) and you will unlock a whole lot of really cool knowledge whatever you do in life.

                  despite anything that she knows about the students including their abilities and interests, she must focus only on preparing them for their currently trending idea of what is important. Grade school isn't about doctors learning to do surgical procedures who definitely must follow the framework of anatomy and physiology.             "kids learn" because no two kids learn the same way. It is about selecting a set of information and doing whatever the hell it takes for all the kids to achieve mastery. For some kids it will be simply exposure, for others, modeling, for others that plus much more. The goal is the same, the kids are all different.
