I am trying to plan a week that will entertain my elder mother (85 yrs old) and my 7 yr old son. She lives in the SF Bay Area. I would like to plant my mother in a rocker on the deck or in front of the window overlooking the beach, while my son and I rent bikes, kayaks, explore tide pools, etc. So what do you think - Santa Cruz or Monterey?

My daughter has a food allergy. She has been a Girl Scout for 2 years and has sold over 300 boxes of cookies but can't eat any. In honor of Celiac Awareness Month and Food Allergy Awareness Week (May 8-14), I started a petition to encourage the Girl Scouts to sell an allergen free cookie. We have over 1,000 signatures in only 5 days. The link is: http://www.change.org/petitions/encourage-the-girl-scouts-to-sell-an-allergen-free-cookie Please sign this petition if you would buy an allergen free cookie. Please also pass this link onto anyone you know on Facebook, Twitter and any email or on line groups that you belong to. Thank you.
