Anyone have a son who is extremely bright (reading, math, very verbal) all before 4 and also has mild sensory (sensory avoiding) and social awkwardness (seems to have a hard time playing in groups)? I can't help but worry about dc but OT and psych say he will grow out of these things. I keep thinking undiagnosed HFA. He is very empathetic, creative, sensitive but has a hard time with groups of peers but is ok one-on-one or in smaller groups and fine with cousins his age. Should I get a second opinion?
