OMG bedtime fucking kills me every night!! divorce, 2.5yo and 4.5yo. It is a huge mess every night. I can't get 2/5yo down because 4.5yo is scared to be alone while I put him... (more)
down, then when I get him down-ish, and go to put her down, he cries and cries. Then she cries when I'm leaving! Tonight I bribed 4.5yo with a dollar if she stayed in bed and said I'd take a toy if she got out of bed, then had to go back in to 2.5yo bedroom and sit by the bed until he fell asleep, which is an improvement from having to lay down with him. It takes 1.5 hours every night!

- have you tried audiobooks? you can check them out from nypublic library and brooklyn public lib. I put them on ipod, play a 20 min story and my dcs are sleeping by the end. 1-31-2013 11:37pm
